In this tutorial you will learn about:

  1. What is the activation message?
  2. How to add & edit an activation message on the presenter view top

1. What is the activation message?

The activation message appears on the top of the presenter view and is designed to make it easy for you to tell the audience how to join your room. You can choose to show or hide the message and edit its content.

2. How to add & edit an activation message on the presenter view top

The activation message is part of your room, which means that whatever activity you start in the room, the message always stays the same (makes sense, cause the room code and room link always stay the same). However, the activation message is only seen when an activity is active.

To edit the activation message, go to the room settings - you find the room settings by clicking on the three white dots next to the room name.

On the config page, navigate to "Presenter View". Here you can toggle the activation message on and off as well as edit the message.

Tip: If you do not see the message update automatically after you edited it, try refreshing your browser.

Easy as that! Now you know how to create and edit the presenter view activation messages in Stagecast!
