In this tutorial you will learn about:

  1. What is a Call-to-Action (CTA)?
  2. How to add a Call-to-Action to your activities
  3. How to edit the Call-to-Action

1. What is a CTA?

A Call-to-Action (short: CTA) is the most effective way to prompt your audience to action - whether that is to fill out a feedback form, to visit a web shop or to follow your social media channels. There are many templates that help you achieve the desired goals.

Call-to-Actions only appear in the participant-mode for the audience after they participated in your activity. So, for example, after they have played a quiz or voted in a poll.

2. How to add a Call to Action to your activity

To add a Call to Action (CTA) to your activity, expand the activity card and click on "add" next to "Call to Action". Doing so will open the CTA configuration page. You can choose from different CTA templates, depending on your business goals, such as: Website visits, collect feedback, sales promotions, social media followers etc.

On the configuration page, you can customize the CTA according to your needs. For example, if your goal is to boost website visits, you can set a landing page where the CTA prompts links to. If your goal is to collect feedback, you can place input fields on the CTA. In every CTA, you can always define a header image, headline and description text.

3. How to edit the CTA

When you have added a CTA to your activity, you can edit it and toggle it on and off. All these functions are available on the activity card. If you edit the CTA, it will update immediately, even if you have already started your activity.

Easy as that! Now you know how to create and edit CTAs in Stagecast!
